Note to my subscribers: I have been making entries for this blog every day but only in the past week or so have I had good enough service to upload pics and publish the entries. In an attempt not to clutter your inboxes, I haven’t sent an email each time I published, but you can go back to view entries as far back as you want. I noticed some entries are out of order so I’ll go back and see if I can fix those evening. Now that we’re closer to cities again, I hope to post more consistently. It was a foggy, misty morning and it stayed cool and cloudy when it lifted.
We went from lake to lake to lake to lake starting with a little one called Clear Lake. It was little in circumference but surprisingly 100 feet deep! Then we curved around Elbow Channel to Big Rideau Lake.
At the first of only two locks today, Newboro, the reds and greens switched again so the red is on the left now. At the second lock, Narrows, we started descending instead of rising.
We stopped at a peaceful though isolated lock for the night.
