A slightly overcast day kept it a nice cool 70° on the water as we crossed Lake Simcoe and onto a series of five locks in four miles.
We thought a squall was headed our way so we bailed out at the Kirkfield lift lock instead of continuing on to Rosedale lock. It was just as well, as we were pretty tired anyway.
Kirkfield is the smaller of the two lift locks, but it’s not enclosed like the Peterborough lift lock. This time we both got videos.
