It was foggy early this morning, but it soon burned off in the sunshine to reveal a silver light.
We went through several narrow canals which then opened into lakes. The final one, Canal Lake, was hair-raising again, but we got through successfully.

Just after the lock at Fenelyn Falls there was a long stretch of vacation homes with families enjoying the last of their summer holidays. Kids always get a kick of seeing boats like ours come through and often ask us to honk our horn which Peter happily obliges.
We had intended to stay at Bobcageon, but there was a music festival going on in the evening, so all the space on the lock walls were taken. We considered anchoring in a lake just beyond, but opted instead to press on to the next lock at Buckhorn. We got lucky there and got a space on the wall with power. And now that we’re back in the Kawartha Lake District, there’s plenty of ice cream to be had in every town 😋
