We left Lakefield right at 9:00 AM again when the lock opened.
It was another beautiful sunny morning but not too hot which was very nice considering we had to do seven locks in ten miles. We traveled the whole way with a Le Boat whose captain obviously knew what he was doing unlike so many inexperienced captains on rental boats. Of all the locks we descended, we only had to wait at one for other boats coming through.
We went back through the Peterborough Lift Lock again. This time our boat videographer wasn’t able to complete his job, but the photographer got a few shots.
The last lock was crowded with other boats including a gigantic tour boat.
There was a free live concert at Del Carry Park right next to the marina. I’m not usually much of a Styx, Bon Jovi or Foreigner fan, but something about the live music got me singing along and sent me right back to middle school.
