We were ready to go through the lock at Buckhorn when it opened at 9:00 AM. Only one other boat locked through with us but there were seven or eight boats waiting to go in the other direction, some who had spent the night on the lock wall and others who were just arriving including four rental house boats.
We enjoyed coming back through the Kawartha Lakes again. We chose to stay at Lakefield for a second time because the lock walls were wide open with plenty of power pedestals. And Peter had his heart set on the steak and kidney pie at the Canoe and Paddle Pub that he had last time through.
